Why Luke Skywalker Wanted To End The Jedi Order
By the end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker was the only Jedi left. He then went on to train the new Jedi Order and no one really knows what happens to it; rumour has it that Ben Solo killed everyone after he turned to the dark side. Luke then abandoned everything and went to an old remote island where the Jedi religion started. After years of living there alone, he was approached by Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Rey was strong with the Force and hoped that Luke will train her but he refused. Let's discuss why he refused.
While training the new Jedi Order, Luke saw the rising dark side in his nephew-pupil Ben Solo. This also proved the theory of balance: if there were new Jedi in training, there were also new Sith.
Luke wanted to keep this balance. He knew if there exists a Jedi Order, there will be Sith and there will be destruction. Therefore, he just wanted the Jedi to fade from existence.

Disney+ is producing 3 major shows contributing to the Skywalker Saga, namely Kenobi, Ahsoka and Boba Fett, each based on the characters they're named after. Boba Fett will be out by the end of this year, but until then may the force be with you...
